The Avenel Cheyenne Roll Bound Hat is a refined, high-quality hat crafted from rabbit fur felt with a unique crown shape. Rabbit fur felt has a soft, smooth finish and good durability for the Australian climate. The felting process involves matting, condensing and pressing rabbit hairs into a solid felt, which is then shaped, steamed, trimmed, and bound along the rolled brim edge (hence “Roll Bound”). The roll binding reinforces the brim’s edge. The finishing touches include an internal leather sweatband and a decorative miniature western belt head band.
